Bizarre music video sings praises of cryptocurrency

The song, called 'BitPay - Black Friday Bitcoin Song,' was released by Twitter user Crypto Finally and urges shops to take cryptocurrencies as legal payment

A Twitter user has released a bizarre music video urging shops to take cryptocurrencies as legal payment.

The song, called ‘BitPay – Black Friday Bitcoin Song,’ was released by Twitter user Crypto Finally, who produces music videos about the sector.

It is set to the tune of Rebecca Black’s viral hit ‘Friday’ and features lyrics slamming shops for not accepting crypto.

“Fiat losers, robbing me, FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt), trying to get me to sell in the bear run, get with my BitPay,” are among the song’s lyrics.

Reaction has been mixed.

YouTube comments include: “This video is so much cringe that it triggered the sell-off,” and “It’s actually more cancerous than the original.”

But supporters said: “Brilliant! That’s a yes from me!” and “She has a beautiful voice.”

The BitPay YouTube channel commented: “Whoa! We love this, and we are beyond flattered.

“We’re so happy that you’ve had a chance to use the card to shop at more places that are a little behind on the tech adoption curve.

“We’d say you’ve topped Rebecca Black, and with any luck, Black Friday will be a win for everyone in this video.”
