Financial services veteran Kyle Unterseher joins ErisX

Crypto trading outfit ErisX, a reboot of traditional futures market Eris Exchange which is set to begin support for spot trading in various cryptos, has added  to its team of business development executives.

Kyle Unterseher’s career path includes senior leadership roles at Cargill, UBS, MF Global, Jefferies and Wells Fargo. “ErisX has operated a regulated marketplace for over seven years before entering the cryptocurrency space,” he says. “With their experience, leadership and diverse list of investors, they are well-positioned to enhance the digital asset trading experience and I’m excited to be a part of growing this new exchange environment.”

“We were impressed with Kyle’s wide range of global experiences working with futures commission merchants as well as in managing and operating critical growth departments,” comments Kelly Brown, Chief Commercial Officer of ErisX.  “He is a significant addition to the team as we gear up to launch one platform for spot and regulated futures on digital assets.”

Hiring spree

The venture also recently appointed Robert Thrash as Chief Operating Officer, Arnold Connell as Head of Infrastructure and John Denza as Business Development Executive.

Thrash spent the past 12 years at Barclays Investment Bank, most recently as Managing Director and Global Head of Futures Execution Services and Clearing Platform Management. Connell was previously at YouTube where he was one of the original creators of YouTubeTV.  He also spent nine years at Google in various roles.

Denza, meanwhile, was most recently Director, Head of US Sales at Pico Quantitative Trading. He also spent 10 years at BATS Global Markets/CBOE leaving as Director, US Sales Equities and Derivatives.
