Vaduz, Liechtenstein — 13th November 2018 — æternity, the blockchain 3.0 platform designed to deliver unmatched efficiency, transparent governance, and global scalability, has partnered with the peer-to peer online learning platform dacade to launch an introductory blockchain course.
The free course will educate future users, entrepreneurs, and developers on the fundamentals of blockchain technology and reward students with æternity tokens for developing practical use cases of blockchain. While the first learning community — called “Introduction to blockchain” — is a non-technical introduction created for beginners, dacade and æternity plan to focus on developing learning communities specifically dedicated to developers. The dominant format will be a tutorial with a practical challenge, where developers are able to receive code reviews on their submissions.
æternity’s partnership with dacade highlights its quest to make blockchain education accessible to everyone and bridge the gap between society and the technology. An online learning platform, dacade gamifies blockchain education by incentivising learners’ educational interactions. Industry experts create learning materials and provide practical challenges. Learners study from the provided materials and apply their newly acquired knowledge in order to solve these challenges. Successful submissions and peer feedback on them are incentivised by tokens.
Nikola Stojanow, CBDO of æternity and CEO of æternity Ventures, said: “æternity and dacade are united by the firm belief that blockchain technology will play an important role in many aspects of our common future. We are therefore investing in ways to bring this technology closer to the mainstream. The æternity learning community on the dacade platform will educate future entrepreneurs, users, and developers to identify blockchain’s unique advantages and become aware of possible applications.”
Moritz Stellmacher, Founder of dacade, said: “dacade and æternity share an enduring vision for blockchain education. Through our cooperation, we aim to address the challenge of providing accessible, practical blockchain education in a scalable way. We believe that a decentralized approach to blockchain education will make it not only more scalable and accessible but also flexible enough to accommodate new information, as it becomes available. I am excited to see what new blockchain use cases the students will come up with.”
Founded in 2016 by Yanislav Malahov, the “Godfather” of Ethereum, æternity is designed to deliver unmatched productivity, transparent governance, and global scalability. A next-generation open source, public blockchain built to support a global user base, it can handle large volumes of value transfers and decentralised applications in parallel.
