Andreessen Horowitz announces a16z crypto

Andreessen Horowitz has become the first venture capital firm to raise a large fund focused on crypto companies and protocols.

And it has hired former federal prosecutor, Kathryn Haun, as a General Partner and one of the two lead investors of the $300 million initiative, dubbed a16z crypto. Chris Dixon, the firm’s long time crypto-focused investor behind Coinbase and Polychain Capital, is the other lead.
