Argentina’s transport system allows SUBE/Bitcoin top-ups

Bitcoin has taken a big step towards mainstream success in Argentina with public transportation users in 37 cities now able to add credit balances to their SUBE travelcards with the cryptocurrency.

This is the result of a team up between travelcard platform provider Alto Viaje and FinTech firm Bitex. Manuel Beaudroit, CMO of Bitex, comments: “We believe that this type of project is of great importance since it brings technology as disruptive as Bitcoin to the common people, demonstrating the true value and the applications it has in everyday life.”
