The latest token to go on sale on Binance Launchpad, Celer Network (CELR), has sold out in just 17 minutes and 35 seconds – raising a total of roughly $4 million.
Binance is one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges and recently made its Launchpad platform public. Binance Launchpad is a token sale platform that aims to “help blockchain projects raise funds and increase their reach across the crypto ecosystem”. The platform is aiming to add at least one new token per month.
Celer Network is a Layer-2 scaling solution platform which enables fast, easy, and secure off-chain transactions for both payments and generalised off-chain smart contracts.
The Celer Network token sale began on March 19th 2019 and remarkably sold out in less than 18 minutes.
According to a Binance blog post, the sale was completed in a single session, and the platform allowed users to purchase CELR tokens using Binance Coin (BNB).
At the time of the sale, a single CELR token was valued at 0.000434 BNB. This meant that for one BNB token, Launchpad users could get 2,303 CELR tokens.
Users were able to purchase a minimum of 2,985 and up to a maximum of 223,880 CELR tokens.
In the session, all 597,014,925 CELR tokens were sold to Launchpad participants in 17 minutes and 35 seconds. In total, the Launchpad sale raised roughly $4 million.
The Celer Network token sale follows two previous Binance Launchpad ICOs for Fetch. AI and BitTorrent, which raised $6 million and $7.2 million respectively.
