Bitrefill users can now purchase Netflix subscriptions using crypto

Fans of online streaming service Netflix can now purchase their monthly subscriptions with cryptocurrency after Bitrefill announced a new gift card service.

Bitrefill is a gift card voucher service based in Sweden. It allows users to purchase gift cards using various cryptocurrencies which they can then use to purchase services.

Coin Rivet recently covered the news that US-based Bitrefill users can now rent Airbnb rooms using the company’s gift card vouchers purchased with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

Netflix is one of the world’s largest global streaming networks and lets users purchase a monthly subscription to gain access to a plethora of TV shows and films.

Bitrefill announced in a Medium blog post that users of its service can now purchase their Netflix subscription using its popular crypto gift card service.

The company writes: “We’re excited to roll out support for a highly requested service: Netflix! Subscriptions with the world’s largest streaming service can now be purchased and renewed with Bitcoin, Lightning, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and Dogecoin.”

To purchase a Netflix subscription, all users need to do is visit the Bitrefill website and navigate through the gift card catalogue. Upon selecting Netflix, they will have the option to purchase a gift card using their cryptocurrency.

Bitrefill customers can purchase gift cards worth $25, $30, or $50.

After selecting their desired amount, users can select which cryptocurrency they would like to pay with.

Customers will need to send the exact amount of crypto from their cryptocurrency wallet to the QR code provided by Bitrefill.

Bitrefill claims the transaction will be instantaneous and that users will receive their digital code in seconds. This code can then be used on Netflix’s ‘redeem’ section to top up users’ accounts.
