‘Blockchain Professor’ believes in INVioU

Professor George Giaglis has joined the advisory board of INVioU, a platform that taps blockchain technology to manage the financial records and invoices of small- and medium-sized businesses.

Prof Giaglis is the scientific coordinator of the world’s first academic degree on blockchain (MSc in Digital Currency, University of Nicosia). The introductory course of this programme has thus far attracted almost 30,000 students from 85 different countries.

On the right path

He comments: “INVioU presents a very promising use case for blockchain, as it provides small businesses access to a decentralised invoice factoring marketplace, removing barriers to obtaining finance, neutralising the risk of fraud and, as a result, reducing the overall cost of finance. I’m proud to support such efforts.”

Dror Shapira, CEO of INVioU, adds: “When a blockchain persona such as Prof Giaglis believes in us, it makes me certain that we are on the right path.”
