BlockShow notches up a blockchain conference first

BlockShow, which takes place this week in Singapore, has become the world’s first blockchain conference to sell tickets via Ethereum-based smart contracts, thanks to a partnership with Trustee.

Its dApp enables users to book without any intermediaries or centralised services. Ticket ownership is granted once the transaction is confirmed in the blockchain, while attendees can also gift tickets to other people after purchasing.

“BlockShow has already established itself as the most ambitious and forward-looking event in the blockchain industry. Becoming the first blockchain conference to actually sell tickets with smart contracts further proves how committed we are to unlocking the technology’s full potential — for our own use and far beyond,” says Addy Creaze of BlockShow.
