Crypto beer delivery company launches

A craft beer delivery company which accepts payments in cryptocurrencies has launched in the US.

Crafty Beer Market lets people buy hard-to-find craft beers and kegs via more than 495 cryptocurrencies, PayPal or their bank card. It accepts traditional offerings like Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as a multitude of altcoins such as Vertcoin and Komodo.

Beer is shipped in one to two days, or within one hour for deliveries in the company’s local state of Florida. Jay Garay, Founder of Crafty Beer Market, says the company is planning to expand into additional US states as well as the international market.

He told Austin’s Crypto Playhouse that the idea for the venture was formed when a party he was at ran out of beer after all the shops had closed. “Someone said, ‘I just ordered some groceries online so maybe we can get some beer delivered’, but that wasn’t the case. I started looking into it and three years later the company came to be,” he said.

The site, which has been up and running for a month, sells a range of unique beers such as Life and Limb 2 – a collaboration between two breweries – and Funky Buddha Maple Bacon Coffee Porter. It also offers a variety of snacks, mixers and drinking games.
