DCC boss funds Oxford Saïd FinTech fellowship

Stewie Zhu, Founder and CEO of public distributed banking blockchain platform, Distributed Credit Chain (DCC), has collaborated with Saïd Business School of Oxford University to create the DCC Career Development Fellow.

The fellowship position will be funded by a donation from DCC and will involve research into the FinTech sector, with a specific focus on the regulation and governance of cryptocurrency and the application of blockchain technology in the financial services industry.

Zhu comments: “I am thrilled to form a partnership with Saïd Business School of Oxford University and launch this blockchain research fellowship that will help in truly shaping the future of how we apply this technology in banking and finance. Oxford gave me a solid foundation to pursue my goals as an entrepreneur and now on behalf of the team at DCC, it is our time to give back to the next generation of innovators that will use this programme to advance us further into a globally inclusive financial world.”

Peter Tufano, Dean of Saïd Business School, says: “New technologies such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies are transforming the way we interact with finance. It is vital that we understand the impact of these changes while exploring how the regulatory and governance environment can adapt to them. Mr. Zhu’s generous donation will ensure that Saïd Business School is at the forefront of FinTech research.”
