The mass adoption of cryptocurrencies has taken another step in the right direction as popular French IT manufacturer Blue Jour has partnered with UTRUST to allow customers to make purchases with cryptocurrency.
According to a press release shared with Coin Rivet, users on bluejour.com will now be able to purchase electronic hardware with crypto.
This is not the first merchant UTRUST has partnered with. The payment company also signed a deal with Benfica Football Club that allows fans to purchase tickets and merchandise with crypto.
The company’s CEO, Nuno Correia, said: “We are expanding our network into the lucrative French consumer electronics market, valued at €5.885 million in 2019, by partnering with our first French merchant, Bleu Jour.
“The country’s 17.3 million electronics users now have the opportunity to pay with the top cryptocurrencies, in addition to fiat currency, with the reassurance that their purchase is fully protected.”
The CEO of Bleu Jour, Jean-Christophe Agobert, also revealed his delight at the recent partnership, saying: “Offering our customers the opportunity to pay in cryptocurrency is important to us as we look to process our business and ensure customers have a range of payment options.”
