Im September berichteten wir, dass IBM hinter dem chinesischen E-Commerce-Riesen Alibaba den zweiten Platz auf einer iPR Daily Liste belegte, in der globale Organisationen nach der Anzahl der von ihnen eingereichten Blockchain-Patente eingestuft wurden.
Die Medien nutzten bis zum 10. August Daten aus ganz China, der EU, Amerika, Japan und Südkorea und konsultierte auch das Internationale Patentsystem der Weltorganisation für geistiges Eigentum (WIPO).
Alibaba reichte 90 Blockchain-bezogene Patentanmeldungen ein, IBM lag mit 89.
