Al Hilal Bank busca transformar el mercado sukuk con blockchain. Al Hilal Bank, con sede en Abu Dabi, ha aprovechado la tecnología blockchain para completar lo que afirma ser la primera transacción sukuk del mundo.
El banco islámico lo utilizó para vender y establecer en el mercado secundario una pequeña porción de sus 500 millones de dólares sukuk de cinco años, emitido en septiembre.
“Estamos buscando transformar el mercado de sukuk a través de la adopción de blockchain e integrarlo en su infraestructura, allanando el camino para un sukuk islámico digitalizado innovador”, dijo.
Una portavoz del banco le dijo a Reuters que el tamaño del acuerdo era de $1 millón, vendido por Al Hilal a un inversor privado.
