Cash App obtiene 'BitLicence' de Nueva York

Square, que también posee una licencia de transmisor de dinero, se ha convertido en la novena empresa en recibir la llamada «BitLicence» de la NYDFS y comerciará con Bitcóin a través de su aplicación de efectivo.

Antes de conceder la licencia se llevó a cabo una revisión a fondo, según los informes de la NYDFS, que añade que también examinó detenidamente las políticas de lucha contra el blanqueo de dinero, el fraude y la ciberseguridad de la empresa.

Dorsey dice que la decisión de negociar Bitcoin a través de la aplicación ha sido un «movimiento bastante polémico dentro de la empresa» y que actualmente sigue siendo una fuente de tensión interna.
