Meme Coin Floki Inu steps up its ambitious bid for ‘world domination’

Floki Inu is accelerating its pursuit of ‘world domination’ with the upcoming launch of marketing campaigns that will see its Viking-themed Shiba mascot emblazoned across an array of major European cities.

Starting in early November, dog-based meme coin Floki Inu will begin an “aggressive marketing takeover of Europe” in Dublin by plastering its brand and messaging across an array of high-traffic advertising spaces including billboards, public transport and digital posters.

Floki expects the campaign to have an impact on an estimated 38m people in Dublin, which was chosen due to its “embrace of crypto” and “crypto-friendly policies” that have led major exchanges including Gemini and Kraken to establish European bases in Ireland.

Floki is also set to “lock down Spain” during November in one of its “most aggressive marketing campaigns yet”- a campaign that Floki expects to impact an estimated 132m people.

Its Spanish efforts are being launched to coincide with Champions League matches taking place in Spain in November and help expose the $FLOKI brand to “millions upon millions of a diverse group of people that will be discovering FLOKI for the first time.”

Floki has already started its first major marketing push in London, which will see the Floki brand advertised across London Underground stations and up to 300 London buses.  The project referred to the marketing campaign as “a full-out assault of the London public transportation system”.

Additionally, the meme coin’s bid for ‘world domination’ has spread to billboards in Los Angeles, where the catchy, retail-focused slogan “Missed Doge? Get FLOKI” is in full view at a “prominent spot” in the city.

Floki has also established a presence via a billboard in one of the crypto industry’s favourite playgrounds – Miami.

It is set to unveil a “Key #FLOKI marketing announcement” at 5pm UTC today and provide further updates on the Floki gaming metaverse – Valhalla – and deliver a weekly roundup.

Elon’s growing influence

The popularity of dog-based meme coins took the cryptocurrency industry by storm in May when Dogecoin hit a record all-time high following rampant speculation that Elon Musk was going to send it to $1 or, more aptly, “to the moon”.

The recent rise of Shiba Inu then reignited “dog coin SZN” after pumping an impressive 226% in the past two weeks following rumours that the project would launch a native DEX.

A well-placed tweet from Dog-coin aficionado Elon Musk that featured his latest family member – a Shiba Inu puppy called ‘Floki’ – also spurred on a new flood of capital into the project.

Now, Elon Musk has seemingly once again kickstarted a meme coin frenzy after his tweet featuring a characterised animal that many assume to be a dog based on Floki holding a rocket emoji sent the price of dog meme coins up in the midst of a market-wide pullback.

Both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu pumped by 6% and 9% respectively while Floki rallied 17% to an all-time high following the tweet – a sign that Elon Musk still holds a great deal of influence in the niche ‘Meme Tokens‘ space.

Musk’s tweet also prompted Floki to adopt the character as their latest profile picture – this time sporting the now-infamous Viking Helmet that Floki has become known for.
