Out of work freelance poker dealers are being supported by partypoker, with 100% of registration fees from the upcoming Grand Prix 4 Dealers tournament going to dealers.
Millions of people across the globe have been impacted, with unemployment soaring in developed countries like the US and the UK.
One of the industries that has been hit hard by the current situation and subsequent travel restrictions has been live poker, which employs thousands across the world including dealers, many of whom are freelance workers.
Being a freelance worker means falling outside of the criteria for government assistance in the UK, causing financial strain on thousands of poker dealers.
partypoker offers a wide array of both online and live tournaments featuring top series like MILLIONS, WPT, WSOP-C and the Irish Open.

But this month they are offering something slightly different, with the ‘Grand Prix 4 Dealers’ tournament focused on giving back to hard-working dealers.
As well as the tournament, which is $50 to enter with a $5 registration fee, partypoker has aims to raise £100,000 for dealers who were booked to work at one of partypokerLIVE’s postponed events via a JustGiving page.
partypoker partner, Rob Yong, has also vowed to personally match donations once the £100,000 target is met.
