Al Hilal Bank cherche à transformer le marché sukuk avec blockchain. Al Hilal Bank, basée à Abu Dhabi, a exploité la technologie blockchain pour compléter ce qu'elle prétend être la première transaction sukuk au monde.
La banque islamique l'a utilisée pour vendre et régler sur le marché secondaire une petite partie de ses 500 millions de dollars sukouk de cinq ans émis en septembre.
« Nous visons à transformer le marché des sukuk en adoptant blockchain et en l'intégrant dans leur infrastructure, ouvrant la voie à des sukuk islamiques numérisés innovants », a-t-il déclaré.
Une porte-parole de la banque a dit à Reuters que la taille de l'affaire était de 1 million de dollars, vendu par Al Hilal à un investisseur privé.
