HBUS raids Intuit for key compliance role

HBUS, the exclusive US strategic partner of digital currency marketplace, Huobi, has appointed Megan Monroe-Coleman as Chief Compliance Officer.

Monroe-Coleman previously served as MTL Compliance Officer at Intuit, following the acquisition of Mint, where she was also a compliance officer. In her new role, she’ll be directly responsible for US compliance functions and implementing a framework for regulatory compliance and risk.

“Megan has extensive and proven experience in financial services companies as well as in FinTech,” says Frank Fu, CEO of HBUS. “She has helped guide high-growth Silicon Valley tech companies, which is ideal for HBUS as we become the top digital currency exchange in the US.”

PwC, Barclays and Deloitte

Before Intuit, Monroe-Coleman spent over seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leaving the company as a Director. At Intuit, she developed and implemented the AML compliance programs for Mint and led the money transmission licensing strategy for Intuit’s regulated payments products. She has also held roles at Barclays Bank and Deloitte.

“As a compliance professional in an industry that does not always embrace regulation, I’m excited to help HBUS lead the way amongst digital currency exchanges in the United States,” she says. “HBUS is committed to ensuring our customers a safe and secure platform for buying and selling digital currency in a fully compliant manner.”
