Artificial Intelligence and blockchain startup, Iris.ai, has launched a #MyLifeForScience global grant competition with a prize of €100,000.
Part of project AIUR’s mission to improve the validity and quality of technological and scientific research using blockchain and AI technology, the competition gives contestants the opportunity to tackle the most prevalent misconceptions in their field. They will submit a proposal outlining the myth that affects their area of expertise, explaining why it is important to tackle and why they are passionate to debunk it.
The top ten shortlisted contestants will be awarded the equivalent of €500 in AIUR tokens, and the winner will receive a €25,000 prize for personal use and a €75,000 grant to campaign and debunk their blockchain myth.
Anita Schjøll Brede, CEO and Co-founder of Iris.ai, says: “We’ve all heard them before. Cryptos have no value, coins and tokens are the same thing or even crypto assets are illegal. We live in a world of technology clickbait and there should be more awareness around people using cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies as foundations to connect with others and make the world a better place. Misconceptions like these can really hinder progress on a global scale.”
She adds:“We believe this is a great opportunity to spread some fun through science and the crypto world and give everyone the opportunity to share their love for it. It’s a great way to get that little bit of frustration about fake facts of your chest and get the chance for your voice to be heard about common misconceptions.”
