HBAR Foundation partners with 3D game creator to spur metaverse growth

The HBAR Foundation has partnered with 3D experience creation platform MetaVRse to build and develop metaverse solutions for organisations operating on the Hedera Network.

The HBAR Foundation will support the efforts of the platform via a grant and organisational support to incentivise and bolster the development of infrastructure within Hedera’s native ‘enterprise metaverse’.

According to the foundation, the organisations share a joint vision that “the future belongs to creators”, with the partnership able to “open up massive opportunities for careers in the metaverse”.

The platform utilises a web-based, low-code approach to 3D game design that “democratises the creation and consumption of the metaverse” to the swathes of compatible devices worldwide.

MetaVRse co-founder, Alan Smithson, commented on the potential of the collaboration to tap into the metaverse’s most important functions.

“The metaverse is the future of human communication, collaboration and commerce,” he said.

“This partnership brings the best-in-class services of MetaVRse and the Hedera Network together to unlock the power of the Metaverse for everyone.”

Alex Russman, HBAR Foundation Director of NFTs and Virtual Worlds, also added that the MetaVRse platform was “well-positioned to provide the tools to build the metaverse”.

The HBAR Foundation fuels development and growth within the Hedera ecosystem by providing grants and resources for the array of developments building on Hedera.

In September, it announced a $5bn ecosystem fund to “incentivise and fund the expansion of its ecosystem” and remains connected to the wider financial ecosystem through the ‘Hedera Governing council‘ – a consortium of leading global financial and technology companies.

The ‘council’ of global innovators include Boeing, Deutsche Telekom, DLA Piper, FIS (WorldPay), Google, IBM, Nomura and Chainlink.
