The Latin American Bitcoin & Blockchain Conference (LABITCONF), the longest running bitcoin and blockchain event in the region, has announced that its 8th annual event will take place over five days starting on December 7.
Due to travel restrictions spawned from the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will take place virtually and will include talks from the likes of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao.
Other speakers include Jameson Lopp, Bitcoin developer and CTO of Casa, tv personality Max Keiser and Jimmy Song.
Unfolding in three hours each day, sessions will tackle important topics in the global crypto ecosystem, and will be offered in Spanish and English.
Jameson Lopp @lopp is a cypherpunk, co-founder & CTO of @CasaHODL and one of our main speakers. He bets for a change on the current financial system and considers Bitcoin not only in reference to the market value but also in the added value of its technology. #LABITCONF2020 🚀🌕 pic.twitter.com/JIYAJLH11F

“In a world where virtual communication is our main connection, LABITCONF will enrich the experience through new formats of interaction and exchange with those who are at the forefront of this industry,” said Rodolfo Andragnes, LABITCONF Chief General Coordinator.
LABITCONF invites all public and private institutions, investors, entrepreneurs, and the general public interested in the technical, political, and legal foundations of blockchain technology to attend.
The event will explore the impact that cryptocurrencies have on the Latin American and global scene, and their potential for social and financial transformation.
