Chain Warriors is now available on The Abyss

Chain Warriors – a browser-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) – is now available to play exclusively on The Abyss’ platform, according to a Medium blog post by the company.

The Abyss is a digital distribution platform for online games similar to Steam, except it has particular focus on massively multiplayer online (MMO) games.

Chain Warriors has been developed by Destiny.Games and is currently in its beta phase. It is a browser-based game which harnesses blockchain technology.

Adventurers will be tasked with slaying monsters, battling other players in the arena, and acquiring mines to generate a steady in-game income.

Chain Warriors is the first project to be released on The Abyss’ platform that utilises both technologies from The Abyss and Waves, who recently announced a new partnership to implement a blockchain-powered marketplace for digital goods.

Waves is an open source platform and decentralised environment for Web 3.0 applications and offers a range of purpose-designed tools for making the process of developing and running decentralised applications (dApps) easy and accessible.

By trading high-quality in-game items on a cryptocurrency-driven marketplace, players can earn themselves WAVES tokens.

Up next on Chain Warriors’ road map is implementing interactive battles and rewards for winning tournaments, which will be divvied up in Abyss tokens.

Chain Warriors is currently available to play on The Abyss’ platform in beta mode.
