Crypto Finance Conference to host physical St Moritz event in January

Crypto Finance Conference will return to the Swiss Alps of St Moritz between January 20 and 22 next year after securing a COVID-19 safety strategy with the Swiss health authorities.

Confirmed speakers include the likes of Anthony Pompliano from Morgan Creek Digital Assets, Jane Lippencott from Wiklevoss Capital and member of European Parliament, Eva Kaili.

One of the main concerns of hosting a physical event is the risk of COVID-19 transmission, which is something that the organisers are focused on avoiding.

There will be pre-event and on-site testing, mandates on face masks, strict cleaning and social distancing rules to mitigate against the risks of COVID-19. The maximum event capacity will also be capped at 250 people in line with the Federal Office of Public Health requirements.

Nicolo Stoehr, CEO of CfC St. Moritz, said: “This conference is one of the most important annual events for investors and decision makers in the traditional finance and digital asset industries.

“The high, unbroken interest from participants and the commitment of top-level speakers and partners shows us that demand for such an event format is unabated. We believe that physical encounters and personal exchanges are more necessary than ever and will be possible under strict hygiene rules.

“The challenges posed by COVID-19 require additional efforts, which we are happy to take on. My team and I will make every effort to hold the conference under strict safety measures in close collaboration with the health authorities.”

Topics of discussion at the conference will range between central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins and digital investment strategies.

Tobias Reichmuth, Chairman of the Board of CfC St. Moritz, added: “Digital assets are being brought into the fold of the world’s financial markets. Those in uncertain positions have turned to us for guidance on entering into these alternative assets and the true potential of digital currencies is emerging.

“CfC St. Moritz offers a forum for collaboration and idea generation at this turning point in our industry. We are at the forefront of this cutting edge technology, providing solutions for so many of the problems highlighted in 2020, particularly as COVID-19 has reshaped our understanding of the financial world.

“I am proud to be part of the CfC St. Moritz and look forward to sharing my insights in St Moritz in January.”
