The Tongue Tied Society is a social club for those who appreciate art, in a non-traditional way. This first of its kind project is a generative NFT collection of 5,200 playing cards (100 decks), comprised of over 100 completely hand painted layers. Here in the Tongue Tied Society, we promote creativity and innovation, and are fostering a community for people who don’t follow the rules. We’re female founded and a portion of mint will be used to invest in other female founded projects to help bring more women into the crypto space.
The artist, Alexandra Grounds, is an emerging artist based in New York City. At 23 years old, she has paintings featured in the World Trade Centre, Castello Di Ugento in Italy, amongst centuries old frescos, and is part of some of the top private art collections globally. Grounds’ work explores the female body, while embracing female sexuality and femininity. Each painting is bold, vibrant, and larger than life, and through this project she wanted to create one of a kind pieces of her art for this community. These NFT playing cards are comprised of more than a decade’s worth of paintings, and are fully representative of her work and who she is as an artist. They’re shocking, whimsical, and waiting to be paired with a collector who exemplifies these traits.
