Messari CEO declares war after threatening XRP calls

Ryan Selkis claims to have received threats after his crypto analytics firm Messari published a critical analysis of Ripple (XRP).

“Someone just called me from a Nashville number and recited my wife’s birthday to me. Then hung up,” he tweeted, adding, “ these are the type of animals you and your f*****g company enable. War”.

In follow up tweets, he said he had received further threatening calls and that he had gone to the police. “It’s a punk kid most likely,” he stated.

XRP currently stands as the second largest cryptocurrency, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Ripple did not respond to our request for comment.
