Basically, a Banity is an unlockable NFT of a Bitcoin vanity address with certain starting letters that spell out words. After the leading number “1”, each Banity has at least 8 human-readable letters in its set of alphanumeric characters. The owner is entitled to redeem the Banity to get access to the private key of the valid Bitcoin address.
Random key pairs are generated and checked to see whether the vanity address of its generated key matches the desired character string. Given that the difficulty increases exponentially the longer your vanity is, so does the average time required to find that vanity. This could take hours, days or even years. The time requirement is exponential in the number of characters you are trying to find.
