What to expect?

The Paris Blockchain Week Summit is one of the most highly-anticipated conferences of the year, boasting a plethora of innovative and talented speakers as well as many of the top names in the cryptocurrency space.

The summit officially began on Tuesday morning with a keynote speech from famous computer scientist and cryptographer David Chaum, who stated that “100,000 transactions per second is needed for a fully efficient blockchain process”.

Tuesday also features panel discussions in regards to the regulatory frameworks surrounding cryptocurrency, with speakers including the likes of Patrick Armstrong from the ESMA and Peteris Zilgavis from the EU commission.

Mike Dudas from The Block will then moderate a panel discussion about the flow of institutional money into the cryptocurrency ecosystem, with Andrew Robinson from Coinbase and Mark Yusko from Morgan Creek Capital Management offering their insights.

Wednesday will continue in the same vein as the opening day, with talks from Wei Zhou of Binance and Rahul Khanna from Korean exchange Bithumb.
