Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a fork of the original Bitcoin protocol. During 2016 and 2017 there was plenty of disagreement within the Bitcoin community about how best to scale the network due to rising fees and blockchain congestion. Eventual supporters of Bitcoin Cash, Roger Ver being one of the most prominient, argued that an increase to blocksize to 8MB was the best way to achieve this. Eventually Bitcoin Cash was created as a competitor to Bitcoin highlighting the speed and low transaction cost. As the name would suggest, Bitcoin Cash works much more like physical cash.
