FAQs

Does Coin Rivet support smart contracts?

Some digital currency networks such as Ethereum (ETH) and Ethereum Classic (ETC) use smart contracts.

These are simple programmes stored on a blockchain that run when predetermined conditions are met. They are generally used to automate the execution of an agreement so that all parties can be immediately certain of the outcome, without the need for any intermediary involvement.

We recommend that you DO NOT SEND FUNDS to smart contracts from your Coin Rivet account since these contracts often have special criteria plus may require additional transaction costs or have additional data sent along with the transaction which are NOT possible to guarantee when sending transactions from Coin Rivet.

Instead, we recommend using wallet software that gives you complete control when sending transactions to smart contracts.

You can, however, receive Ethereum (ETH) from your smart contract to your Coin Rivet Ethereum (ETH) account.
