Republic of San Marino grows blockchain committee with AmaZix appointment

José Maria Macedo, Head of Advisory at blockchain consultancy, AmaZix, is joining the scientific committee of San Marino Innovation as its tokenomics expert.

A state-owned company, this aims to establish the Republic of San Marino as a world-leading hub for blockchain technologies. Its responsibilities include setting up a regulatory framework, incubating startups and attracting joint corporate innovation projects.

Sergio Mottola, President of San Marino Innovation, believes that San Marino is ideally placed to become a global blockchain hub, “backed by favourable regulation and legislation that attracts and incubates innovative startups, as well as enterprise companies which wish to trial digital ledger technology, creating an environment in which their digital economy ideas can thrive.”

He adds: “We have sought global experts to help build our vision, and we are pleased to add José Maria Macedo to the committee as our tokenomics expert, and to advise on blockchain regulation and policy.”
