The board will provide guidance to Shyft in its mission to make the global economy more efficient and effectively regulated. The advisers include Shyft Chairman and Paycase CEO Joseph Weinberg; CoinShares Chief Strategy Officer Meltem Demirors; Ethereum Co-founder Anthony Di Iorio; and Bitcoin Foundation Chairman Brock Pierce.
Financial experts from outside the blockchain space are represented, such as Lord Meghnad Desai, a noted economist, and Lord Anthony St John, an expert on foreign affairs and clean technology.
It also includes Peter Warrack, Chief Compliance Officer at Bitfinex, and Jeremy Bornstein, SVP and Group Head at Mastercard Canada. “Our group of advisers understand the dire need for a new system that allows attested data to not only be shared securely and privately, but also a system that can help build reputational identity from this data that can be used globally across borders,” says Weinberg.
Lord Anthony says although know-your-customer and proper due diligence are of pivotal importance, procedures are often cumbersome, time-consuming and inefficient. “Shyft is unique in that it will deliver a trustworthy, resilient, expeditious, cost-effective and accredited platform,” he adds.
