TaTaTu to co-finance The Sound of Freedom

TaTaTu, a video-on-demand and social platform that uses blockchain technology to reward its audience, has teamed with AMBI Media Group and Santa Fe Films to finance The Sound of Freedom, a movie about the true story of a US government agent who quits his job to focus on rescuing children from global sex traffickers.

The Sound of Freedom stars Jim ‘The Passion of the Christ’ Caviezel as Ballard and Mira ‘Mighty Aphrodite’ Sorvino as his wife, Katherine. It’s the second time that TaTaTu and AMBI, both founded by director and movie producer, Andrea Iervolino, have teamed up to co-finance a film. They are also working on a biopic of Ferruccio Lamborghini, starring Antonio Banderas and Alec Baldwin.

TaTaTu taps blockchain technology to pay TTU tokens (which can be traded for cash) to those who watch movies, play games and listen to music. In a Facebook post announcing The Sound of Freedom, it says that it “plans to create its own movies, not just fill its library with content. What movie do you think should we work on next?”
