Unstoppable Michael Addamo wins $500k at Super Millions

Michael Addamo's tremendous tournament streak took another step forwards this week after he took down GG Poker's Super Millions for $500,000

Australian professional poker player Michael Addamo has continued his rich vein of form by winning the Super Millions on GG Poker, taking home more than $500,000.

The 28-year-old four-time WSOP bracelet winner topped Coin Rivet’s list of most succesful players in 2022 with total winnings of $9.4 million.

He now becomes the first player in GG Poker history to win the weekly Super Millions tournament five times.

The elusive final table included the likes of Brazilian regular Pablo Silva, who took home an impressive total of $399,926 after losing the heads up battle with Addamo. The final hand was Silva’s pocket jacks against Addamo’s ace-king of clubs.

Addamo’s illustrious poker career hit a dizzying peak in 2021 when he took down the World Series of Poker $100,000 high roller before winning the $300,000 PokerGo super high roller.

Speaking to PokerGo after winning three consecutive tournaments in November, Addamo said: “It hasn’t really sunk in. I think maybe after a week with some good sleep and rest that I’ll be like: OK, that was an insane week. I’d say, it’s like a one-in-a-million chance (of winning all three events) or something ridiculous.”
