You too can mine for cryptocurrency for only £18 a month

UK-Canadian company Argo is to become the first crypto-mining company to join the London Stock Exchange to raise money for growth, in a move paired with the launch of a low-cost and easy-to-use mining subscription for consumers.

The firm decided to launch this to address increased demand from users who want to get in on the crypto-mining bandwagon but have not been able to due to the high cost and complexity involved.

Argo’s response is called mining-as-a-service (Maas). It says that users can start mining on a mobile or computer within minutes of accessing their website and paying $25 (£18) per month for the subscription.

Argo Co-founder Jonathan Bixby says: “We have launched this service to take the pain and heartache out of participating in the biggest new technology breakthrough since the launch of the internet.”

Mike Edwards, another Argo Co-founder, comments: “Setting up a computer rig to mine cryptocurrency is challenging, inefficient and expensive. I knew that we had to change the game and democratise the process so that crypto-mining could become a mainstream consumer activity.”
