Bitfinex launches new mobile trading app

Major cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex has announced it is releasing a new, full-functionality mobile trading application, which will be available on both iOS and Android.

Bitfinex said it hopes the new app can “fit seamlessly within our professional traders’ busy lifestyles, minimising the risk of missed opportunities.”

For on-the-go traders

In a launch blog post, the Tether-backed exchange said that the app “adapts the full functionality and features of Bitfinex for ‘on-the-go’ traders, including ‘quick view’ that enables customers to understand their current progress at a glance.”

Other features of the new release include response widgets, persistent settings across devices, and biometric identification.

Bitfinex CTO Paolo Ardoino said on Twitter that the “fully rewritten native mobile app [is] completely dedicated to professional traders.”

The Hong Kong-based exchange concluded their post by saying the app represents “another step in our journey of delivering a suite of sophisticated tools to traders within the digital asset space.”
