Samsung has revealed its newest MICRO LED, Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs ahead of Consumer Electronics Show 2022… and all of them posses NFT management functions.
The newly-added NFT application will feature an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame.
Those who already own NFTs will be also able to use the platform to showcase their collection.
Samsung said its ‘Smart Calibration’ technology can automatically adjust the TV’s settings to match the specifications of the original creator to ensure the image is rendered on the TV as faithfully as possible.
Simon Sung, Executive Vice President and Head of the Sales & Marketing Team of the Visual Display Business at Samsung commented the role of the screen has changed dramatically in recent years with advancements in technology and how entertainment is distributed.
“With our new line-up of products, we are providing customers an entirely immersive video and audio experience that is customisable to their needs,” he said.
Samsung iGamers will also have access to an extensive library of games through the company’s partnerships with industry leaders – NVIDIA GeForce Now, Stadia and Utomik.
Giants like EA and Square Enix made massive investments in blockchain technology and, soon, users will be able to buy and own virtual goods in a variety of mainstream games – if they have their crypto wallet ready.
Meanwhile, the Australian NFT marketplace – NFT STARS – also says it is preparing for the launch of an innovative product called NFT Radio – the first-ever radio station to stream 24/7 and sell all the audio-related content as non-fungible tokens.
Scorsese producer Niels Juul said he was determined to make the first Hollywood movie funded by NFTs as he’s hoping to raise up to $10m in order to ‘democratise’ the antiquated funding system.
Also, the new Anthony Hopkins’ thriller ‘Zero Contact’ premiered on Vuele CurrencyWorks’ NFT platform for feature films.
In the music entertainment business, the first-ever full-length concert NFT was recently auctioned off for $1.2m with Dutch DJ Don Diablo creating a “sci-fi film concert experience” over the course of one year.
Predictions are that we will see a new generation of founders and entrepreneurs who understand how NFTs can disrupt and change the live events industry with transformational opportunities.
The president of the music event company Vicenc Marti said there would be “more and more future ‘unicorns’ in the live events market that incorporate NFTs in areas such as talent management, unique perks, live events promotion and ticketing solutions”.
“The NFT revolution makes the present (and the immediate future) the most exciting time one could have ever imagined for creators, especially when it comes to live events,” he added.
