The Six Dragons reveals players can become enchanting and crafting merchants for other players

The Six Dragons – a blockchain-based game powered by Enjin – has revealed players will eventually have the ability to become enchanting and crafting merchants for other players.

The Six Dragons is a fantasy role-playing game developed by Savvas L. and is the first game to have successfully implemented blockchain using Enjin’s software development kit.

Savvas has since uploaded a Medium blog post outlining specifics relating to how enchanting, crafting and looting will work within the game.

The post reads: “decentralised blockchain gaming means that as a player you need to contribute to shaping the game but also earn from it. The vision of The Six Dragons is that at one point the community will run all the blockchain with merchants, workers, service offering, etc”.

Enchanting

It then details how enchanting works, which is the process of levelling an item by using enchant scrolls. Enchanted items have increased stats and are Enjin-backed.

There will be three types of scrolls: enchant scroll, eternal scroll and blessed enchant scroll which have a chance of 66%, 80% and 100% respectively of successfully levelling up an item.

The maximum enchant level is 10, though if the player fails an enchantment it will be reduced back to level zero. There will also be rare scrolls, such as the fire scroll and thunder scroll, which have a 100% success rate. These scrolls will enchant a weapon with fire or thunder.

At some point there will be an enchanting profession introduced to the game meaning players will have the ability to offer enchanting services for specific enchants/increased Enjin backing or removal for a fee.

Crafting

In The Six Dragons crafting will work by the player obtaining blockchain materials and combining them with other in-game materials.

The player will need to learn a ‘recipe,’ and acquire five blockchain materials (i.e. essences for weapons, skins for armour, gems for jewels) alongside all the relevant in-game materials such as wood, leather or metal.

Each craft will have a ‘critical’ chance that, if successful, will make the item even stronger.

Like with enchanting, The Six Dragons plans to implement crafting services where the player will learn a recipe forever and can then offer their services as a crafter to other players for a fee.

Loot pool

The Six Dragons will also boast a blockchain-based loot pool for the needs of in-game activities.

For instance, when successfully enchanting a weapon with an enchant scroll and your pre-enchanted items, they will be sent to the pool. The pool will then create the improved weapon and return it to the player – which will also have a bigger Enjin backing.

The same concept applies to crafting. All materials needed for the crafting process will be sent to the pool while the improved item is created and returned to the player.

The player’s old consumables and materials will be used to replenish the pool as new drops or in-game activities, creating a self-sustaining economy focused on enchanting and crafting in the world.

The loot pool will only increase the supply if needed and on a once-per-month basis – based on calculating whether the active player base has been increased to meet the demand while still retaining the rarity of items.

Small fees will be incorporated on blockchain activities to keep the pool status healthy and to ensure the creation of new consumables/items.
