US dealership accepts Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash for new luxury cars

If you have a few Bitcoins or Bitcoin Cash and you fancy one of the most expensive vehicles on earth, we have good news for you because no matter where you are, you can now purchase one from a US dealership.

“Luxury car buyers are now able to purchase a Rolls-Royce, a Bentley or a Bugatti from Post Oak Motors’ luxury carriages from anywhere in the world via the Bitcoin processor BitPay,” says the dealership’s owner, Tilman Fertitta, who admits he’s been captivated by “the rising of Bitcoin”.

“Being a premier luxury car dealer, I always want to offer my customers the very best buying experience and this (BitPay) partnership will allow anyone around the world to purchase our vehicles faster and easier,” he reiterates.

People prefer paying with Bitcoin

BitPay Chief Commercial Officer Sonny Singh says “we’ve noticed people prefer to make larger purchases with Bitcoin since it is a simple way to make payments.”

Singh says the partnership with Post Oaks “is timely with the increasing popularity of Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Bugatti vehicles”.

Those who decide to go straight to the dealer rather than order online or over the phone will be pampered by Post Oak Motor Cars, which is based in Houston, Texas, right next door to Fertitta’s high-end hotel. Fertitta’s staff arranges dinner reservations, hotel stays, concierge services and helicopter transfers from and to the airport.

BitPay has been around since 2011 and claims to be the “pioneer and the most experienced company in Bitcoin and blockchain payments”. Its suite of products enables businesses to send and receive cross-border payments, and consumers to manage digital assets with the BitPay Wallet and turn digital assets into dollars with the BitPay Prepaid Visa Card.
