Justin Sun too sick for Warren Buffett lunch, but OK for Tron party

Kidney stones, you say?

Tron CEO Justin Sun couldn’t attend his much hyped lunch on Thursday with Warren Buffett due to kidney stones, he claimed. But that didn’t stop him from rocking up at a Tron-organised party in San Francisco on the same day.

The appearance followed on from Sun penning an apology to the media, public and regulators for “over-marketing” the Buffett lunch.

“I experienced unprecedented storms, doubts, and pain. I stayed up all night, and I deeply reflected on my past words and deeds and over-marketed myself,” he wrote.

“My words and deeds are immature, young, and prosperous, and my mouth is unobtrusive. It has gradually turned into a disorderly, stalled, failed over-marketing mouth, which has produced a lot of consequences that I completely did not expect, neglecting social and public responsibilities, and my personal intentions.”

Last month, Sun announced on Twitter that he had selected San Francisco’s Quince, a “three-Michelin starred restaurant in the historic Jackson Square,” for the Warren Buffett meal.

It subsequently emerged that Helen Hai, Head of Binance Charity Foundation, would also be there, alongside Litecoin creator Charlie Lee, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire and Yoni Assia, Founder and CEO, eToro.

A new date for the lunch has yet to be announced.
