Socios continues US expansion efforts with first NFL and MLS partnerships

The deal will see Socios work with the New England franchise teams to increase fan engagement

Socios.com, an influence and rewards app for global sports fans, has unveiled its first venture into the worlds of American football and soccer through a partnership with Kraft Sports and its franchise teams – New England Patriots and New England Revolution.

The partnerships with the franchises mark Socios.com’s first deals with clubs in the National Football League and Major League Soccer, and the first with a major ownership group that controls multiple teams in various sports.

The deal also marks the platform’s continued expansion efforts in the US, which have seen Socios become a stalwart in crypto sponsorship for an impressive roster of 24 National Basketball Association (NBA) franchises that already work with them.

The Patriots will use the partnership to better engage with their fan base through activities available on the Socios.com mobile app and see Socios.com become the official sponsor of the Patriots’ indoor practice field house.

The deal will also include “Patriots Fan Predictions”, which will reward New England fans with prizes for correctly answering five match-related questions during each week of the season on Patriots.com and the Patriots mobile app.

For the New England Revolution, Socios will become the official sponsor of its training centre and will display in-stadium signage during games for both teams.

The platform will also run fan prediction polls throughout the MLS Cup Playoffs this season where fans can win prizes, including tickets and autographed merchandise.

Socios CEO Alexandre Dreyfus expanded on the partnership and its potential to increase fan engagement for the New England franchise.

“Kraft Sports + Entertainment is home to one of the winningest franchises in NFL history, as well as the top team in Major League Soccer this season, so we are ecstatic to welcome this prestigious, successful group into the Socios.com family,” he said.

“We look forward to partnering with the Patriots and Revolution to increase their fan engagement as we continue our surge into the US sports industry.”

The New England franchise now joins more than 100 global major sporting organisations on the Socios.com roster including an array of top European football clubs alongside teams from Formula One, eSports and cricket.
